We often know something isn't working, but unpicking why, and designing something better, is not so easy. I offer an independent, psychologically informed perspective that helps organisations design effective interventions, evaluate their impact honestly and make the case for what works. My approach is evidence-based and collaborative, drawing on twenty years working across education, health and the voluntary sector alongside specialist training in behaviour change, intervention design, programme evaluation and both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Programme evaluation
Independent evaluation of health and wellbeing programmes, from logic model development and outcomes frameworks through to data collection, analysis, and reporting. I work iteratively with commissioning teams to build evaluation into programmes from the outset, rather than adding it as an afterthought.

Behaviour change
Applying evidence-based frameworks to understand why change is or isn't happening, and to design or refine approaches that are more likely to work. This includes needs assessment, target behaviour analysis, and intervention planning.

Intervention design and development
Working with teams to develop health interventions that are grounded in theory, feasible to deliver, and acceptable to the populations they serve. I have particular experience in digital health interventions and in working with multidisciplinary teams across NHS, schools, and community settings.

Advisory and stakeholder engagement
Providing independent expert input at key decision points including service design, commissioning, research ethics, and implementation planning. I have experience contributing to GP and primary care settings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and strategic planning processes.

Training and workforce development
I provide training for health, education, and social care professionals in adolescent development, behaviour change, psychological approaches to health, and working with young people with chronic conditions or complex needs.

If you think an independent perspective would add value to your work, I'd welcome an initial conversation. There's no obligation, just a chance to explore whether we might work well together.
